Autumn at Westwood Chalet at Mount Rainier

Autumn is a quiet season to visit Mount Rainier National Park.  Fall colors are found where sunlight streams through breaks in the forest canopy to support vine maples and wild shrubs.  Hillsides of color are found on meadows and rockslides that one can view from roads and trails.
